must go beyond perception

Fabric of the naked uniform
reveals needless erosion
in sunlight’s display window

Indifference appears muscular
but cannot move when captives
rip the flesh that rules all

Hangs over man waiting on
child he never was

Watches stars after funeral
devours best part of the sky

Adds to infinite crumbles in hand
that no one can reach

Exists in one place primarily
to show those present
